They're trying to stop people from dying by doing this, Malaria is one of the biggest killers there. I get what you're trying to say, but if you've been to africa, how could you not see the trouble they are in? I believe that debt is astronomical there? People cannot afford, right now, to do anything themselves, it is not to say that they wouldn't know how to, it is more about that they can't. And if anybody who needs to get themself out of trouble always at first, needs help to do that.

One minute you're talking about how helping them does more harm then switch to say they haven't done much. What point are you trying to make?And how can they contribute like other places if they don't have the money!That's why these people climbed the mountain,because the people couldn't afford nets and they could.You said to look at Africa's history,so go ahead and look and you'll see that they can't contribute like everyone else, and if they could,then you've just solved an incredible problem!

wow that's racist! Did you know Africa has both blacks and whites! And what does it matter what colour someone is if they're helping out, and some of the locals did hand out the nets. And these people handing out the stuff want to be there because they climbed the mountain and see what good it's done. And it has done good. I bet you don't even know what malaria is? I do, I had a family member die from it and believe me this is helping!

Thats an incredible amount of nets for them to hand out, it will take them ages lol, still, its good to see exactly what the donation money was spent on & see some of the celebs return to help hand them out, even if they are a tad heavy for the girls to lift. I trust there is nothing wrong with the brakes on that truck as theres some considerable weight in the back of it. (rear wheels appear to be chocked), just a precaution i guess. This is the best comment I have ever read...I laughed my socks off.Tthe highest thing they have ever climbed in their lives before this was the stairs and only ever camped in their gardens when they were kids.... 'ALL' of them managed the summit at first attempt with N0 mountain knowledge, training or experience... beating projectile vomiting and altitude sickenss in the name of 'CHARITY"... these celbrities truly are SUPERHEROE's....lol

The guy and the rest of the team who climbed the mountain have done a fantastic thing in the name of a great cause. They have given up there own time to raise money for charity. I can't understand why some people are slagging them off, it's nothing about PR for his TV show, people are even questioning or comparing this challenge... they raised money for a charity! Take a look at yourself.

Gaz (or goose to his mates ;) is from Frodsham, Cheshire where I live. The village is sooo proud of him. What a guy!

well done all great effort. and to all sceptics on here on why they did this its hardly just the money but the attention this brings to everybody that there are millions of people out there that have nothing as your tapping away on your computer in your cozy houses that it does not hurt to give a little back 1.4 million is just the start of it once its been on tv it will grow along with all the other peoples fund raising. sleep well in your warm beds and think yourself lucky its not you.
